Born in South Africa, Sophia’s creative roots begin in theater, inspired by playwrights like Athol Fugard and John Kani, whose work navigates socio-political complexities. Her early projects, including the semi-finalist short film Topsoff!, dove into innovative storytelling, using Zoom to capture the essence of pandemic life.
