3 Tips For Designing Your Walk-In Closet Like A Celeb

If you have a walk-in closet that you don’t think you’re using as well as you could be, there are all kinds of things that you can do to adjust your closet so that it resembles more of the closets that you see when celebs and others give tours of their professionally designed home as opposed to just the catch-all that it might be right now.

To help you see how this type of thing can be done in your closet, here are three tips for designing your walk-in closet like a celeb.

Upgrade Your Lighting

To really get the most out of your walk-in closet, you’re going to have to go further than just finding the right place to put all of your belongings. Rather, you should try to make your dressing experiences more enjoyable by turning them into an actual experience.

To do this, one of the first things that you’ll want to do is upgrade the lighting in the space. Ideally, there should be lighting all over the closet so that no area is ever in shadow. And, so that you can better see what’s in your drawers and shelves, you’ll want to have the light fall in between where you’re standing and where the items are so that you don’t cast a shadow that makes it hard for you to see your belongings. You can do something super functional like task lighting or something striking like a chandelier.

Add Some Furniture

Walk-in closets aren’t just for your clothes. You can also use them as a vanity of sorts so that you can try on outfits and see what looks good before you head out the door. But with all of this time being spent in your closet, you’ll want to have some furniture in the space so that you or others can rest and relax as necessary.

While it might make sense to add things like a ladder so that you can reach items at the top of your shelves, you can also look into add furniture like a lounge chair or even a small entryway bench that you can use either as seating or as a place to drop items before you put them back where they belong.

Put More Items On Display

If you really want your walk-in closet to look like that of a celebrity’s, you’ll need to consider the actual design and decor of the space as opposed to just where you’re storing your clothes.

A great way to do this is to put more of your favorite items on display throughout the space. Whether it’s a favorite hat, your cutest boots, or a jacket that you love, finding a way to display these items will not only serve as decor, but will also help you find more opportunities to wear these items, as they won’t blend in with the space so much.

If you want your walk-in closet to look like it belongs to a celebrity, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you make this happen in your own space.
