An Exclusive Interview With cornelius siwoku

My name is cornelius siwoku I’m from nigeria american I lives in pensylvania usa I’m a music lover and taking this as my career.

Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?

Ans: yeah I’m not musician but I’m in the line of music like manager and A&R but my artists will anwer that, one of my artist want to release his single song soon we are working on it in the studio to work things out .

Q: How do you shut things out?

Ans: We do it with believe of GOD sometime I do 2 jobs to get the song mix and mastering in the studio I know is not easy, but I believe with GOD our dream will come through.

Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?

Ans :The song comes to them sometimes when they down in the mood , or when they facing some challenges in life, I will say so may things can give artist inspiration to let music come to reality

Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

Ans:we rise by lifting others

Q: What is you favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car?

Ans: My favorite song is wizkid and davido , r kelly , mark morrison craig david usher and many more

Q: For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words?

Ans: our music genre is afro pop r&b, afro pop raggae , afro pop gospel afro pop rap and many more we called it afro fusion sound

Q: You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part about the proccess?


ANS: sometime my artist write theyre song on the road , studio , in the bush ,in the car and many more


Q: At what age did you start singing?


ANS: like a said I’m not musician I’m their representatives and manager in united state person who stand for them to get contract through a record label.


Q:Who are your inspirations?


Ans: Kevin hart , bill gate , Elon musk , Akon tony Elumelu ,Dangote and many more


Q: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?


Ans: my artist will like to perform or featuring American artist like usher , Chris brown, future, Ludacris , naughty by nature , jarule, da baby brandy, I cant name them more we ready to work .

Q:What is your favorite song to sing live?

Ans: kiss from the rose by seal

Q:Do you have any events coming up or recording going on right now?

Ans: yes we are about to release couple of some out this year we working on the project in the studio trust me

Q:Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or just advice about careers in general?

Ans : yes I will advise upcoming artist to work on their craft very well and master it that most importance in music he give them the chance to get to the next level in music business like get sign with major label and independent label.

Q: If you had a soundtrack to your life what song/songs would have to be on it?

Ans : I will say the story of my life

Ans: its feel great

Q:When and why did you start playing?

ANS: I played when am down or think about something spectacular.

Q: Which instruments do you play?

Ans: I don’t play any instrument but I play with FL Studio software

Ans: fl studio

Q: Is your family musical?

Ans: no but I grow up with surrounding of church choir like my uncle used to be church choir then in Nigeria .

Q: Describe your family member’s musical interests and abilities.

Ans: like a said earlier my uncle used to be church choir and played piano in the church and used his vocal to praise GOD

Q: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?

Ans: I love Celine Dion and R Kelly their music so emotional

Ans: Akon, Mark Morrison , Lamar , Chris brown Usher and many more

Q: Who was your first teacher? Other teachers?

Ans: what do you mean my for teacher ? anyways I will say my father and mom and then my school teacher like professor and many more

Ans: Fl Studio and DJ instrument

Ans: I could remember FELA Kuti music back in the days then.

Ans: I’m influenced by Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade , Ebenezer Obey King wasiu Marshall Michael Jackson, Usher , and many more

Q: Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s?

Ans: Fela kuti , Sunny Ade , craig david , R kelly , Usher , Davido, Wizkid and many more

Q: Have you been in competitions? Fleadh’s? Any prizes?

Ans: nope

Q: Do you play for dances? Step-dancers? Describe the differences?

Ans: not at all

Q: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

Ans: I will say my artist handle with soft minded , calmness and be professional as an artist

Q: Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?

Ans: nope I don’t think my artist used to be nervous I don’t see that in them

Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

Ans: I will say they have to believe in their self and be more confident in anything they do

Q: Do you attend sessions? What makes a good session?

Ans: studio section ? Yes, one of my artist recording in studio and I love the way he delivered his song in the studio that day.

Q: How often and for how long do you practice?

Ans: my artists practice almost every day

Q: What do you practice – exercises, new tunes, hard tunes, etc.?

Ans: loft of inspiration of sounds I don’t know how to explain its like spiritual things he feel like something just came to you and start vibing the sound.

Q: Do you teach music?

Ans: nope

Q: How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, job?

Ans: yes of course if you don’t do that lot of things will messed up
