Lisa Valerie Kudrow was born on July 30, 1963, in California. She was born to a father Lee N. Kudrow and mother Nedra Stern. Her father worked as a physician while her mother was a travel agent. The youngest of three siblings, Lisa grew up in a middle-class Jewish family in Tarzana.

The actress is married to a French advertising executive Michel Stern since May 27, 1995. They have been together for almost 24 years and will be soon celebrating the silver jubilee coming year.
