Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education etc. ??
My name is Martin Scott I am an actor and professional vocalist from Newcastle. United Kingdom.
At what point did you decided to become an actor ?
I have always been a massive movie fan and wanted to get into acting from a very early age from performing in school plays. It all really started when I was asked to be an extra in a hit UK tv drama and I was fascinated by the whole process both in front and behind the camera. This is when I decided to pursue this as a full time career. Being a singer I was always used to performing in front of people anyway so it made sense to give it a try. I then went to university to study performing arts before getting more parts roles in tv & film.
Q :If you could choose, what three actors would you really want to work with?
That’s a difficult question as there are many great actors who I would love to work with, I would say my top 3 actors are Tom Hardy, Robert Deniro & Leonaro Dicaprio
deally, where would you like to see yourself five years from now?
I would like to think in 5 years from now that I would have a lot more television and film work added to my portfolio of work and I would also like to get into theatre work
Q: Motivation is important within the acting profession. What would you say is your motivator currently? How do you remain positive and focused within your role?
My main motivation is my family. When you have good people around you its far easier to concetrate on your goals as opposed to negativity that drags you down and makes you doubt yourself. I listen to a lot of self help videos and read books from the likes of Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki. I also find that meditation defintely helps to clear the mind and keep you focused
Q: To be an established actor you need to be able to measure your success and build on this. How do you evaluate success within your role?
I evaluate success by how many people enjoyed my work and tell me, then I know I have done my job properly. Never get to complacent as within many things in life its all about learning and progressing ahead.
Q: Thinking back over your career to date, what has been your greatest accomplishment as an actor?
So far it was working with one of my idols Stephen Graham on a movie he wrote and directed. Its an amazing feeling to see yourself on the big screen alonside someone who you admire as an actor
Q:Talk me through some of your biggest achievements to date. Why were these memorable to you, and how did you achieve them?
I think my biggest achievements to date was getting my university degree and getting my first ever agent. When people doubted me and said that I could never do it and just that feeling of “well look I did” felt great
Q: What type of acting role would interest you the most, and why?
I would love to be a bond villian, I’ve always been a big fan of the bond movies so being able to play a character like that would be a dream come true. I like any roles that are well written and gritty drama
