My Skin Rejuvenation Story

It is a fact that most of us women take good care of our skin mainly because we are scared of sagging necks and droopy eyes. When I was younger this didn’t seem like a potential danger since my skin was still young and flexible. However, as soon as I turned forty I saw that the danger is near. I was lucky to start taking care of my skin during my mid-twenties so time didn’t have that much negative impact on my skin. Although I was used to intense skincare routines, the forties ask for more effort so that your skin will stay beautiful and tight.

Creams and Masks

For my daily skincare routine I like to keep my skin hydrated. Basically, this includes several moisturizing creams and lotions that I use several times a day. However, my advice is to stay away from products that have chemicals or alcohol in them, since your skin will become more dry and patchy than it used to be. Rely on products with natural ingredients, because they will only provide the beneficial nutrients for your skin. Also, I have a face cream that has plenty of vitamin C and antioxidants in it, which help remove any dark patches on my skin as well as fight off the pesky wrinkles and fine lines that have started to show several years ago.

My favorite part of my daily routine is the natural masks I use to relax at the end of a stressful day. The homemade mask I most often apply in the evening is honey and lemon juice mask, because it is very soothing, while at the same time it nourishes the skin and prevents any blemishes, fine lines, and pigmentation.

Exfoliation

When you hit 40s, your skin is much drier because the skin cells take more time to regenerate. Those dead skin cells can cause major issues for us ladies, since they cause pesky blemishes. In order to prevent breakouts I like to exfoliate my skin at least twice a week. However, I never use strong exfoliation agents, because too harsh and too much exfoliation can only speed up the aging process of my skin. Instead, I use homemade scrubs made of sugar, and gently massage my face twice a week. This way I’m removing a significant amount of dead skin cells from my face, but I’m not irritating my skin, which gives me a youthful look. Also, I like to exfoliate in the evening because my skin has a whole night to recover and I always apply moisturizer afterwards to keep it hydrated.

Cosmetic Surgery

I know this sounds too invasive and odd, but cosmetic surgery can immensely help aging skin. Several years back, I had medical issues with my nose and I wanted to solve all the problems. That’s why I decided to undergo rhinoplasty in Sydney, but while I was there, I had the chance to meet the best experts in skin rejuvenation. They saw I had some minor issues with my wrinkles and they actually advised me on various treatments that can help slow down the aging process. They introduced me to face lift, dermal fillers and Botox treatments that can rejuvenate the skin and after I’ve recovered from my rhinoplasty I decided to try out the Botox injections. I’m happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed. The flexibility of my skin greatly improved after the treatments, and all the wrinkles and fine lines were gone.

There you have it, my skin rejuvenation story. Turning 40 does seem scary, but if you take good care of your skin on a daily basis you’ll be fine. Don’t be afraid to try out cosmetic surgery either, because it can only help you preserve your youth a little bit longer.
