Conversation with UMG record executive and marketing guru Bez

Universal Music Group record executive and  marketing guru, Nigel “Bez” Lee, has over eight years of major &  independent music industry experience. Bez is known to his clients as “the plug”, bridging the gap between artists and the mainstream industry.

What first got you into this profession?
I got into this profession, because ever since my younger years I was obsessed with the music studio.

Who inspired you to create and promote music?
Suge Knight, Diddy, Nino Villanova, Cappriccieo Scates are just a few black self-made men who inspired me to love the business of music.

Bez is just a guy who markets and helps writers and producers get solid situations either on their distribution platform or getting some type of deal that can help them further their career.

What kind of change would you like to bring in this music industry through your company Eleven33 Group?
Eleven33 Group is changing the way independent, and mainstream people market, promote, get their music to the masses in an organized, and professional way.

How would you describe the music that you typically create/promote?
I’am in all genres in the marketing game, if you whistle on a track I can market it.

You must be very happy with the kind of response you received so far?
All man it’s been a blessing from the response my company is getting the DMs on Instagram are going crazy.

Any particular artist that’s your favorite to work with?
I would love to work with T Pain. I think his talent is off the meat rack in my “Nino Villanova” voice.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
The fans I honestly don’t think I have any, but my mom, wife, daughter, and dog. So to them I love you all and thanks for believing in me.
