If you don’t know, “We Make Our Destiny” is Lucky’s first single and it features vocals from Simone. With a little less than three months from its official release date, the song has been played in almost 700k in-store radio stations worldwide, and it has over 2 million plays on all music streaming platforms combined. Okay. Who is behind that? Lucky (aka Luciano Mendonca) is a Brazilian-born musician best known for his role as the bass player for the popular Brazilian singer Emmerson Nogueira as part of his band Versão Acústica, from 2001 to 2006. He worked with several great musicians from different countries. His music has a huge influence from British artists, including The Beatles, Genesis, Supertramp, Queen, Oasis, Supergrass, Rolling Stones,The Police, Jethro Tull, Duran Duran, Keane, among others. Lucky is also influenced by Lionel Richie, The Jackson five, Rush, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, Toto, Dave Matthews band, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Madonna, Talking Heads,Thin Lizzy, Jewel, U2, Billy Idol, and Justice.
